Furoshiki (風呂敷) are traditional square Japanese wrapping cloths used to wrap and/or to transport goods (the name comes from the idea that you would wrap your clothes in these cloths when going to the public bath). There are many designs, and we have a small amount here.

Tenugui (手拭い) are long multi-purpose hand cloths, about 35 x 90 cm, and originally a leftover cut of cloth used for kimono which is why they are known for beautiful designs.

Musubi is one brand of Furoshiki that has a number of great videos on using the cloth to wrap gifts:
